Albertsons Quaker Coupon Update

Yesterday the printable Quaker Oats coupon was not being accepted. I just got word from the Greenhurst Manager that it will be accepted (at least at the Greenhurst store) as long as it does not end in 1301. There was some question as to the validity of the coupon. Here is the coupon if you haven't printed it yet. Please remember that printable coupons cannot be photocopied, it is fraud.

They are also not accepting the orange $3 off Quaker coupon that is copied from Fred Meyer. They will accept the one from the monthh long Extra Savings Coupon ad that is found at Fred Meyer because it is a manufacturers coupon and does not specify Fred Meyer.

Disney's Get and Give Program

How to get FREE admission to a Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World theme park:
-Search for and commit to a volunteer activity here.
-Complete your volunteer service.
-Print the voucher we’ll email to you once your service is verified. Follow the instructions on the voucher to redeem it by December 15, 2010. Then enjoy! (Or you can donate your ticket to a designated organization.)

The volunteer opportunities resulting from your search are only those available within the next 60 days. Volunteer opportunities are always being added, so check back again if at first you don't see an opportunity that interests you.

I love the idea that you are helping others and Disney is helping you! What a great opportunity to serve others. Have you seen how much Disney tickets are nowadays? I grew up close to Disneyland and I remember tickets being $20, now tickets are $72!

*Ticket quantities for this program are limited to one million people. Must be at least age 6 to participate. One ticket per person. Other terms and conditions apply.

Today Only: $8 Body Butter from The Body Shop

Date Night on a Budget

There are many great ways to enjoy a night out without spending a lot of money. Restaurant.com is a great resource. If you haven't used Restaurant.com before you are really missing out! They offer $25 Gift Certificates for $10 (a few are $15). Don't pay that amount! They often have discount codes that take 70% or even 80% off making $25 certificates only $2 or $3! There are stipulations depending on the restaurant, such as the $25 certificate is valid on a meal of $35 or more with 18% gratuity. If you keep your tab to about $35 and subtract the $25 you are only paying $10 plus tip. This week's code is BONUS. Use this code to get 80% off (ends Jan. 31st)!!! You get a nice meal for a great deal (Ha, I didn't mean to rhyme). Most restaurants limit you to one Restaurant.com certificate per month.

There are 43 restaurants in the Treasure Valley. There are only a certain number released each month so if you check and a particular restaurant is sold out, try again at the beginning of the month. This is a great opportunity to try something new (like one of my faves Ono Hawaiian Cafe) or an old favorite like Baja Fresh! Click here to visit!

Note: The certificates you purchase are self-tracking, in other words, even after they are used they show up under your account and you can print them off again. I learned the hard way and accidentally did this. My suggestion is to print them off when you purchase them and store in your glove box that way you don't get mixed up like I did. I was not a happy camper when I had to pay the full price because I printed the wrong certificate that had already been used.

Even Sweeter Deal on Quaker Items

An employee at Albertsons told my friend about a coupon at Fred Meyer that they will accept at Albies because it is a manufacturers' coupon (not a store coupon). The coupon is in the month long coupon book and copies may be found in front of Quaker Items (yellow coupons). This is where I found mine earlier today. I didn't take them all. I only took what I needed. Please only take what you will realistically use. The coupon is for $3 off 5 participating Quaker products. This makes Captain Crunch cereal only 40 cents (5 for $5 - $3 = 5 for $2, or 40 cents each). I was able to get 50 Quaker items for $20!!! My dad just got the coupon booklet from customer service at the Nampa Fred Meyer (the aisle and front foyer were out). They gave him 5. Good luck!

Popcorn Deal: Buy 1 Orville (I'm not even going to even attempt to spell the last name) popcorn and get another one free, plus two 2 liters of 7-up or A&W soda. They have the coupons at the front. The total for all 4 items is $3.19.

Quaker Sale Coming this Wednesday!!!!

I have a couple syrups and oats left but plan to stock up again, especially on granola bars! Shop ebay or here or here to order your coupons! I usually ask my friends if they want coupons too and then split priority shipping. You can probably do first class shipping if you order soon (that is what I just did).

Click here for $1 off Quaker Oats (you usually can print two, but I was only able to print one per computer). I JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THE GREENHURST STORE MANAGER STATING THIS COUPON IS NOT VALID. IT IS NOT BEING ACCEPTED.

Free Kraft Products

The Albertsons Sale that starts this Wednesday has Kraft products on sale. Not only do you get a $5 off your next shopping order (catalina--the kind that prints out), you can also send in your receipt for a $20 mail in rebate!!! You can use manufacturers' coupons on top of the sale. By doing this you are actually getting paid to buy food. Pinching your Pennies has the Albie's ad (pdf) on their site. Click here to go to it.

Here are my shopping plans:
14 Kraft shredded or chunk cheeses (on sale 3/$5 or 1.67 each) = 23.38
4 boxes of Mac and Cheese (0.49 each) = 1.96
Total = 25.34
-$5 coupon (you will get one your first transaction to use on your second. Then you can keep rolling those to the next one). Does anyone have some left from last weeks sale? I think I have $20!!
-7 (I found coupons on ebay to get $1 off 2 kraft cheeses)
Total = 13.34

On a seperate transaction:
5 Capri Suns ($2 each) = 10
5 Chips Ahoy ($2.50 each) = 12.50
5 Mac and Cheese (0.49 each) = 2.45
=24.95 (I think it will work--if not I will add another Mac and Cheese)
-$5 coupon
=19.95
-10 ($2 off coupons from ebay--save $2 when you buy Capri Suns and Chips Ahoy)
Total = 9.95

These totals are before the $20 Rebates!!!

I plan on sending rebates to friends/family who aren't going to take advantage of the sale. I will put one in my husband's name, my name, daughter's name, etc. The shredded cheese freezes really well!

Note: Please be courteous to other shoppers. When doing multiple transactions take your stuff to the car and go back for round #2 or try self checkout--they are really good about helping you with coupons if you need it!

Click here to go to the Mars Website and register for a reminder to go on their website every Friday at 9 am PDT to get a free coupon for chocolate! 250,000 coupons per Friday.

1 day left on some amazing Deals at Albertsons

They have coupons of the front of their ad for Albertsons brand 8 oz. shredded cheese (in many varieties such as Italian, Mexican Blend) for only 0.88 each (max. 3). The same coupon could also be used for Philly Cream Cheese for only 0.88 each.

I printed off the Yoplait Yo + Yogurt coupons from Pinchig Your Pennies. Click here for the entire list of Albertstons deals plus the links for the coupons. Print each one twice. (You will have to scroll down to the very bottom).
Here's how it works:
Spend $10 on select items (the yogurt is 2.50 so you need 4). Then use 4 coupons (Two $1.50 off printables and two $1 off printables). $4 will come of automatically with the special.
4 x 2.50=10
-$4 instant savings
-$1.50
-$1.50
-$1
-$1
=$1
The use the 3 "doubler" coupons that came in Sunday's paper (or ask for the sheet). And you can get another $3 off! You will have to add a couple of items worth at least $2 because they will not give you $$$ back and the doublers will make them owe you $$$. I added the 3 cheeses.
Grand total for 7 items = 0.65 plus tax!!!

*I did multiple transactions to get more cheese and cream cheese. Some cashiers will let you and some won't.* The cheese freezes great!
